IDEM (CRO, Zagreb)
Croatian artist IDEM is one of the most distinctive names on Zagreb’s new alternative scene. Blending post-punk, indie pop and pop-punk, he combines catchy melodies, DIY energy, irony and melancholy – turning completely ordinary situations from everyday life into songs that will stay stuck in your head.
The project is led by Antun Aleksa, a musician also known from the bands Porto Morto and Trophy Jump. In a remarkably short time, IDEM has established himself on the Balkan alternative scene, growing from a small DIY project into a phenomenon capable of bringing an entire club to life.
IDEM is not some bedroom project made for crying into your headphones. It’s energetic, a little punk and highly infectious. Melancholy meets humour, guitars meet pop, and the feeling of “what the hell am I doing with my life?” meets the urge to dance it off.
And that the whole thing works beyond Zagreb is proven by six Rock&Off Awards and a Croatian Porin Award for New Artist of the Year. IDEM also presented his album CIAO with two sold-out shows at Zagreb clubs Tvornica Kulture and Boogaloo.
On November 7, IDEM will play Prague for the very first time. At Klubovna. Small venue, big energy, and a perfect opportunity to find out why so many people are talking about this Croatian outfit. No knowledge of Croatian required.
IDEM × Klubovna / 7 November / 20:00
And since Klubovna is not an arena in Zagreb, we recommend getting your ticket in advance.
