guided tour led by Jan Dašovský
A guided tour of the General Emil Boček RAF Museum will introduce visitors to the stories of Czechoslovak airmen who served in the ranks of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War and took part in the Battle of Britain as well as other key operations over Europe.
The exhibition features personal belongings of RAF veterans, historical documents, correspondence, and authentic pieces of equipment and armament from fighter and bomber aircraft. A significant part of the collection consists of items donated by General Emil Boček, the last surviving Czechoslovak RAF fighter pilot, after whom the museum is named.
Museum founder Jan Dašovský will present not only the stories of the men and women who fought for the freedom of their homeland, but also his own journey in creating a place dedicated to preserving their legacy for future generations.
The tour will be conducted in Czech.
