When the vault of the Želiv monastery collapses, Abbot Jeroným Hlína calls in the renowned architect Jan Blažeje Santini-Aichla. However, within the monastery walls, he finds not only space for his work but also a network of treacherous lies and enemies trying to tarnish his name in the eyes of the church. When funds run out, a race against time begins. Can Santini transform stone into prayer before he is overwhelmed by his opponents' intrigues?

The performance was awarded the prestigious Zlatá jeřabina (Golden Rowan) of the Vysočina Region. In 2022–2023, the production had an incredible 103 performances and became one of the most successful projects of its kind. In its 7th season, we are reviving this hit with almost the original cast.

Spaces you will visit
Marian Garden, Paradise Garden, Convent Garden, Chapter Hall, Painted Refectorium, Abbot's Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Sacristy, and the usually inaccessible space – the convent cellar.
Additionally
On certain dates, you can join a special tour BEHIND THE BAROQUE CURTAIN, which will introduce you to Santini's architecture up close. The guide will be the author and director of the theatrical production Santini's Miracle, who has been dedicated to Santini's work for a long time.
