The Löw-Beer family was among the most prominent textile entrepreneurs in Moravia, and their legacy in Svitávka is still reflected in two remarkable villas. The so-called Grand Villa, built between 1900 and 1902 to the designs of Brno architect and builder Josef Nebehosteny, served as the family's representative residence. With its château-like character, richly decorated interiors, and later modernisation designed by architect Rudolf Baumfeld, it ranks among the most outstanding residential buildings associated with Moravia's textile industry.
The tour will be conducted in Czech.
