⏳ What if one day you couldn’t leave?
“Woman in the Dunes” is an adaptation of the novel by Kobo Abe.
Immerse yourself in the silence of a sandy pit, where a person becomes cut off from familiar reality.
A place that is not so easy to escape, where привычные ориентиры slowly disappear.
The sand covers everything: the body, time, boundaries, the rules we’re used to.
Through anxiety and the absurdity of what’s happening, the man begins to see more than just the situation - and perhaps more than just the woman.
Everyone longs for freedom, but for each of us, it means something different.
About the performance:
“Entomologist Niki Jumpei, in search of rare insects, is forced to stay overnight in a strange village. The locals place him in a house at the bottom of a deep sand pit. Only one Woman lives there. He does not yet know that he will spend not just one night with her, but much longer — struggling with the sand and trying to make sense of this place and the Woman’s story.”
“Woman in the Dunes” is a metaphorical journey into the depths of the human soul. A фантастическая drama inspired by Kobo Abe’s novel, where the stage becomes a space in which time loses its meaning, and fate feels like a matter of chance.
